Sit back and take it in... be prepared to hear something a little different. Stroll with Sweet Betsy through the musical past and present as you hear the echoes of Folk, Country, and Americana blended together to create their own original, genre-defying style. With the stripped down simplicity of just a guitar and mandolin as the bones, you'll be drawn in by what it's really all about, the song, and how its sung... and if you only listen to their recordings, you might swear their sibling-like harmonies are provoking the ghosts of old-time family groups and duos like the Carters or Stanley Brothers... that's the sound of Sweet Betsy.

The Champions
The Champions are a group of four phenomenally talented musicians who have come together for the sole purpose of making great music and memories, and bringing a smile to audiences across the nation.
Ted Yoder plays hammered dulcimer. You've heard people play hammered dulcimer before – the guy at the Maple Syrup Festival last spring; that Christmas CD you picked up in that gift shop in Tennessee. That's not Ted. He plays his dulcimer almost like a piano, unafraid to tackle complex rhythms and unusual harmonics. Ted is the 2010 National Hammered Dulcimer Champion, and been featured on the Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour. He has performed at the Gaither Fall Festival, and has released three CD’s.
Brian Keith Wallen is an incredibly accomplished 19 year old. He has released sixteen CD’s, and performed over 400 shows at venues like Dollywood and the Ryman Auditorium. He is the Cincy Blues Champion, an International Blues Challenge finalist, and was just named the 2011 Blues Artist of the Year. CityBeat magazine called him "the future of Cincinnati blues", and Peter Clitheroe of England's "Suffolk n' Cool" says that Brian is "an amazing, prodigious talent."
Dean Phelps combines rock steady Travis-style guitar picking with a soulful vocal style for music that connects with a variety of folks, from concert hall to church pew to open air festival, all ages and all walks of life. He is the 2010 Indiana State Thumbpick Guitar Champion, and he placed third in the National Thumbpick Guitar Contest in Mountain View, Ark. He has released three CD's.
Marty Price is a gifted dobro player with a long list of collaborations to his credit. He is a true talent and an asset to anyone he performs with. A friend of Jerry Douglas, he has also performed at the Ryman Auditorium, and his abilities as a songwriter and musician are second to none.

Bill Price
As a fan of The Beatles and Bob Dylan as a teenager, Price set his sights on being a songwriter. "I don't know if it was the realization that I was always going to be just an average guitar player, or the fact that I always have an opinion, that got me headed in the songwriting direction. But, for whatever reason, I just got that fire. I was inspired by certain music to try and do a similar thing, and I still am.."

Yank Rachell Tribute Band with special guests Andra Faye
The tribute band is made up of great musicians who all have a connection to Yank. When they perform they do a bit of a history lesson about Yank and his accomplishments. They also talk a bit about Leroy Carr and Scrapper Blackwell. Both were blues men in Indianapolis and both recorded at Gennett. The band does the Leroy Carr tune "How Long Blues" (one of the most recorded songs ever) and Scrapper's "Blues Before Sunrise".
Andra was mentored by Yank and is a great player. Andra plays the mandolin, fiddle, guitar, and bass and besides that, is a fantastic singer. Andra has recently moved back to her hometown of Indy after her band Saffire – The Uppity Blues Women retired from touring. Saffire was the premier all female blues band and this award winning group has toured and recorded extensively over many years.
